I felt the same way as I had my 4 and 2 year old with me. I knew it wasn’t a rattlesnake for sure with its head shape but we do have lots of rattlers and copperheads by me so was curious.

In the water where they feel safe they are very chill.  But if they are on land, feel threatened, and can't easily escape they can be very aggressive.  But it is purely defensive, they won't come after you, they just want to be left alone.
