Tuff day on the ice

Was setting a few traps yesterday and the ice was breaking as I went. Was unable to set any popups because it was was to hard to get to them. Made a few sets around the banks. Was able to catch a few this morning. Love to see the bubbles when I am heading to the set. Will try again next weekend hopefully the ice will be safe and I can try out my new reaper supports.

I have been having problems where there is a lot of muck and the trap sinks in it when setting some swamps. These should allow me to set them at a certain height under the ice so they don't disappear in the muck.

Here's a reaper ...love'm

They are conibear clips that are screwed fast to an electric fence post bracket.

It holds the trap at what ever height you want . They work on fiber glass rods, driveway markers, rebar, plastic tomatoe stakes, etc.

I dropped everything for a few days. I hate doing it but it is nice to have the day off.
