What is your favorite... As I think back over my 51 years, and all the amazing sounds I have heard that usually provide that "rush", it makes me realize just how important "Sound" is to what many of us do. My heart goes out to those that are hearing-impaired...

The sound of a buck grunt.

The sound of approaching deer in the leaves behind you (not to be confused with squirrels)

The sound of antlers clashing.

The bugle of the elk (never experienced)

The mating call of the moose (never experienced)

The honk of the goose.

The quack of the duck.

The cackle of a cock-bird

The roar of an exploding grouse. (been a long time since I heard that)

The peep-peep-peep of a flushed woodcock.

The gobble of a turkey

The cluck of the hens

The screaming drag of a tuna hit.

The sound of the drag makes when a shark takes the bait, wondering what it could be?

The sound of ANY screaming drag, regardless of the fish

The sound of a bass and/or blues blitz

The slurp of tarpon feeding in the dark

The sound of any jumping fish, on a quiet lake

The call of the coyote.

The call of the wolf (never experienced).

The scream of the Eagle, or an Osprey or any bird of prey

For me - I still gotta go with the buck grunt, especially when you hear it but can't see what it is yet... I imagine for those that have experienced the bugle of the elk - that would be it...

Guys, its sounds that actually happen. Not the sounds in dreams.

I spent most of my money on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.
