Being as rare as they are, if I should happen to call one in it gets to walk. If I was a trapper I would release the females and only take one male. I would hate to see them go the way of the nj Grouse.

I hear they are the only canine that can climb trees, such a neat animal. I never have seen one in the wild, had a red fox around my stand back in the fall though.

I could probably go kill this one and a few other greys in the area, but I don't even chase after them anymore.

I've never seen a red in these particular woods, only greys.
