Welcome.  Where in Potter?  We have a camp in Ulysses/West Bingham off route 49 a mile or so.  Last November was the first year we didn't go since 1970 because the Amish shoot everything that moves all year round and we have virtually no deer left.  And that is on some of the nicest deer habitat you'll see anywhere.  Strange how things change.

Hi. We are off Rt 879 in Wharton / Cherry Springs about seven miles in off grid on a old farm. Deer herd is down couldn't walk out the door without seeing deer when I first started 10 years ago now... I did two archery trips this year first one I didn't even see a deer although my buddy did get a bad shot on a six the first hour in the woods. We looked for hours but the blood wasn't very good. The second trip was last week of fall bow, that was incredible I saw eleven shootable buck the most i've ever seen up there. I had two in range but no shots, for me that was incredible being new to this. The other camp went home with two bucks same week so thats thirteen shooters.

Good luck, let us know how you do.

A uneventful sit till 4:30. I see a flash out in the laurels so I hit the bleat can and instantly this little two inch spike runs out towards my stand it browsed the underbrush for ten minutes then moved on. The good news is sent control was working cause he was 15 yards out and didn't notice me. Being new to this even this little guy get you excited.
