My Son Scored On A Buck Last Night.

We got into my ground blind early yesterday afternoon and we saw no deer until 5:00pm. And then, they came pouring out into the field below us. My son glassed the field and saw a buck with a bad limp. It wasn't the 8 point that he was after but, he told me that he will put him down if he got closer. The buck made it to 116 yards and my son shot. We thought that he had run in a different direction and could not find him. I knew that I had heard the bullet hit him so, I decided to look along the opposite side of the field and I found him laying in the brush. My son doubled lung shot him. He's a heavy deer with a small rack. It's my son's first New Jersey buck. He's still has his muzzle loader permit so, we are going out this afternoon. He leaves to go back overseas on Saturday and we will most likely not see him until the Summer of 2017. So, we are going to hunt hard to get him another deer. Sorry for the dark photo.
