mazzgolf
tl;dr What do people use to repair leaks in waders? Aquaseal+FD, E6000, or something else? I have a pair of neoprene waders that last year had started leaking in the crotch in the seams. There wasn't a tear (can't see any holes) - just the seams must have separated a bit I bought a tube of Aquaseal+FD and lathered that stuff over the inside seams where the leaks were and that seemed to do a good job. But just this past week they started leaking again - different area of the seams I think. Even though I stored the Aquaseal in the freezer, it was still hard and I lost about a third of the tube. And that stuff is expensive at $12/oz. Rather than order more, I already had a tube of this E6000 that I used in the past to repair rubber boots (and to repair leaks in the boots of these same waders). I lathered that E6000 on the inside seams of these waders and I'll see how that goes. Looks good so far but I haven't been in water with them yet. I'm curious what people use to repair leaks in their waders? Aquaseal - at $12/oz and hardens very easily even when left in the freezer - is expensive - https://www.amazon.com/Gear-Aid-Aquaseal-Flexible-Adhesive/dp/B001XUMBIA E6000 - at $2/oz and doesn't harden even when left out - seems pretty good. I've had this tube for years and use it for all kinds of repairs. I'm hoping it does good on neoprene waders. - https://www.homedepot.com/p/E6000-2-oz-Clear-Adhesive-237032/203279322
MGHunter66
Aquaseal is great for neoprene when used correctly. For rubber areas like boot foot waders Amazing Goop is my go to AWM

Napa had it. MGHunter66
Bucksnbows
AquaSeal always. Never buy the larger sizes for the reason you listed. Buy as small a tube as you need for the repair and don’t expect to use the remains later. I know for a fact that several wader manufacturers use AquaSeal to make repairs. Bucndoe
AquaSeal. Wipe the top and cap well and add a touch of Vaseline around top and inside cap, then keep it in the freezer. After it thaws for next use, wipe off the Vaseline before use and repeat when done. I have a large tube for 3 years now Edited October 29, 2023 by Bucndoe There is nothing more intolerant than a liberal preaching tolerance God gives the toughest battles to his strongest soldiers "Leadership is a potent combination of strategy and character. Yobuck293
I just used aqua seal on one of my new rubber boots I accidentally tore a hole into. So far so good. Seems pretty solid.
