I have recommended this in the past.....IMO this is the BEST mid layer (wear over base layer) for cold sits. The ulfrotte 400 gram wool. The pull over top, leggings, &/or vest are fantastic. Highly recommend. Warmest stuff I have found.

heated vest = GAME CHANGER...  I just wear cabelas extreme cold weather base layer, heated vest - then let the temps decide which outer layer to wear.

I really want to try the vest, but I don't see a size chart....I found it, never mind.

I’ve slowly walked away from wool since there are lighter synthetic materials that keep you just as warm if not warmer without the weight

I bought a heated vest last year. A little bulky but it works great! If any other part of your body is cold..............you are still cold.

I agree for all layers but base layer where Marino wool is the best IMO

Agreed, I had a heated lightweight jacket and my legs felt like they were getting colder than usual, now I just layer up

What brand do you have?  Or what brand do others recommend I’ve  been thinking of getting one for cold weather goose and deer hunts and for plowing snow with my Polaris Ranger

Never tried heated vests....can't say one way or the other.

Actually I got rid of wool there also long ago. Patagonia Capilene comes in multiple weights, is warmer, more comfortable and wicks moisture better than anything.
