Anyone using 16 gauge?

Since I’ve never owned a 16 gauge I am wondering how many use it here? I know it used to be popular but I cannot recall actually coming across one in the field. I’ve inherited a Remington Model 58 that has been passed down through my papaw, dad and older brother. With that lineage I’ll be taking it to the field for small game and upland birds. Take care y’all

I'm buying the same gun in 16 in next couple weeks.

Full disclosure I have a sub guage shot gun problem.  If I come acrossed a 32 I will pick that up to.  I love using 410 and 28 for birds

Paper shells, nice. Haven’t seen one in forever. I suspect a new direction in my future years - 16g with low brass paper shells (if they even exist). Had to go to Tennessee to easily find 16g shells. Btw in was there anyhow-not a special trip just to buy shells.

Bought a few boxes off Gunbroker, Remington, Western and Peters from the 50's and 60's, still work, but burn dirty, not clean burning powder

So cool! ... hunting with that family lineage gun! Enjoy the experience.

I also sometimes use a 16 in the WMAs. Bought it a few years ago ... reasonable price on a gun I always wanted ... '54 Browning Auto-5. I was kinda surprised to see that my small, local sport shop stocked a few different 16 ga upland loads. So, people are definitely using them.
