First Bear Down!

Opening day success! The last few years I’ve been having more bear than deer on my trail camera and always told myself if the opportunity arises I’d take a bear. Well, Monday, that opportunity presented itself. Not a giant by any means but she was chasing around doe all morning. When the 25 yard shot presented itself I had to take it.  First bear ever.

Do you think she was chasing deer with the intent to eat one?  I saw one once trotting after a small doe across my neighbors lawn. It was fixated on that one particular deer.
