When you check in your bear …

Ask them why NJ Fish & Wildlife declined my donation of 350 bars of soap made from rendered bear fat to give each successful hunter as they have done in the past. This year I had 350 bars of soap ready to donate at an expense of $1,000 to me to give each successful bear hunter to help educate them as to something useful that could be made from a part of the harvest that most discard that NJ Fish and Wildlife declined. Shame on you NJ Fish and Wildlife for being fearful of the anti hunters this year !!!

Nice gesture but there are legal implications don't you think?

This isn’t the first year I have made and donated soap from rendered bear fat to them. I’ve also made and donated candles in the past. Also, I was told specifically that they wanted to “tread lightly” around the anti hunters and thus they were declining my donation this year.

Ok, so they told you why. In your post, you told people to "ask them,". You already knew the answer.

Once again, nice gesture. Must have been a lot of work.

Yes , I know the answer. Curious if they’ll tell hunters the answer. I was also hoping that if enough people asked it would work it’s way up the chain.

Mind blowing. I would think educating the public on all the resources an animal can provide would be a step in the right direction.

They’re only interested in educating people on trash cans because of the extra $$$ the governor gave them for “education”, nothing to do with the resource itself.

Sucks you put in not only your own $$$, but also the time/labor as well in an effort to educate people and they shut you down just so they could be more PC 😢

Great on you for doing this, and I have a feeling anyone at the annual Pub 199 gathering would be happy to get them as a door gift!!
