Upland boots

Recommended Posts

I used a pair of Crispi Hunter boots last year.  For deer, pheasant, and squirrel hunting.  They were great!  Washed them and conditioned the leather.  They look new again.

I liked them so much I also got a pair of the Guide and Nevada.  The main difference between these models is the height.

Don't get irish setters. I got a pair last year.

Lots of maintenance just to keep them water resistant.

Crispi

But the danner grouse are what I have heard directly from serious upland hunting friends is the best.

Zamberland are also nice.

When I hunted behind my Brittanies several times a week for grouse and woodcock, I only wore Danner Canadians. That model was 10” high if they still make them (?) and that often meant the difference between wet and dry feet at the end of the hunt. Woodcock especially live near wet areas.
