Already time to really check them doe to make sure it's not a buck pulled cam after a hunt the other day to see this. I can't be leave it but I guess I'm done hunting my target buck

Umm, ok, not trying to be a wise guy, but why? I'm looking for meat, and to me a deer is a deer, antlers or no, I just don't get all weak in the knees for racks, I get weak in the knees for a deer inside bow range, heck I see them butcher wrapped!!!!

Just the difference between a meat hunter exclusively and a mature buck hunter. Very different goals and challenges. I get both. I understand both.

I agree, if you're looking for meat then skip the part where you look at the head first.

For me this was my target buck for most of the season and now lost his head gear and hope to hell me makes it threw doe kill fest next month

Cool beans, I try and let little ones walk, I.e. Smallish deer, it's gotta be worth taking to get cut up!!! Plus, in something like close to 30 years of hunting I've only shot one shed buck, in a January snow storm, and I don't look for them, came in with group of ten or so. I get it, I won't pass on a big buck, I'm not crazy! Lol but I'm just as happy with a big doe.

Its early still for shedding but a few do every year. Some will shed early do to a injury.

Had a yearling shed buck come by this morning, that's my first one this year.

All bucks I have on cam in spots and in yard have both sides as of today. Central and southern nj.
