I guess it’s what we evolved it to be . Seems it was more camaraderie and about success as a group . Now we have cell cams , baiting 6 months out of the year , secret spots , tree stand and cam theft heheheh just can’t keep up. My mother said it to me about 20 years ago … ‘your father would hunt 3 weeks out of the year now with you it seems like it’s months on end ‘ LMAO . She was right opening day bow and gun maybe an extra weekend or two of bow and Thanksgiving weekend .. The End  that was NY season for the average

I was a member of a club in barbertown, so 6 day shotgun at the time you could shoot 2 doe in the same day.. so a kid does that.Ties them up on the trunk of his little car now he has to go to the check station untie them so they can be weighed, then retie them up for the drive home,, do that today and you will hear a lot of honking and see a lot of birds, and I'm not talking geese.I think he lived in Jersey City, never found out if the deer made it home in one piece.lol
