Catch of the day

Headed down to check a few boats at our marina and another nearby .

as I was walking down a ramp, my feet flew forwards on the wet metal ramp end , slammed my elbows and head as I went down .

of course I had my phone in my hand sending pics that everyone’s boats were good .

it goes flying right into the drink .

went home and got my crab net , by time I returned water was about 8’ , with zero visibility 

reached down and was sliding the net when I was sure I had hit the phone . Pushed down a little further and up it comes in the net .

between the waterproof rating of the IPhone and the life proof case , phone was in fine shape after being in the water an hour .

be far my best catch this week .

Rating of just the new I phones is half hour at 20’, with addition of the case it stayed  very dry . Just a drop or two of water made it in .

Was deep enough that it wouldn’t connect a call , but as soon as it hit the air messages were coming in .

The iPhones are impressive in water.  Labor weekend I was leisuring at the sand bar and I was putting beach chair back into boat.  15 minutes later wife said I think I left phone in beach chair which I walked 20 yards through the water to boat.   Retraced my steps and found phone in 4 feet of water.  Still was on and never skipped a beat.  Got lucky just finding it.

Thank god your ok we were loading up one day in the marina and I told my buddy, phone is in my flannel so be careful, well the phone fell out and bounced over the side as quick as I handed it to him. It was May and water was still cold and I wasnt about to be wet all day so I stripped down to my undies, jumped in, luckily on the second dive I found it. When I surfaced  a small audience had gathered and were clapping and started laughing when I climbed back in the boat with just my undies on...lmao Phone worked for years after that
