Safety Zone Sign

Hello all, been hunting this property for a great number of years, it is next to a property which has a shed on it, I bow hunt from a treestand about 200-210 ft from the shed. Recently some clown gained permission to hunt that property and posted this sign . My question is, is this sign legal? As far as I know the safety zone is 450 ft for gun from a dwelling or a school and 150ft for bow from an elevated position. question#2 which is irrelevant to my situation  but I'm asking for curiosity, is a shed to be considered a structure for safety zone? Any input would be appreciated, just wanna be legal and avoid trouble.

Yes a shed is considered an occupied dwelling

Its not "occupied building" I think the law has been changed to "building" so be careful

It's considered a building.. Not necessarily occupied

For the purpose 9f fish and game and saftey zones it is considered an occupied dwelling and the saftey zones 450 for gun and 150 for bow must be adhered to

Appreciate the feedback, but no one has answered the 500 ft distance on the sign question

Maybe occupiable.. But if no one is in it, it's in no way, shape, or form an "occupied dwelling"

So Im legal to hunt 200 ft from the shed although the sign says 500 ft

I would say yes, unless the owner put the signs up and wants a bigger buffer

Shed is considered occupied.  You can not say I know for a fact it’s empty.  You can never truly know unless you observe it 24/7. A neighbor can easily ruin hunting for you by installing a shed on a property line. That 500’ is a generic sign.

Same thing if the law was changed to building than it mist certainly is covered by the saftey zone.  When i went through hunter Ed we were told an out house could be considered an occupied dwelling

You have no way of knowing that.  What if his kids decided to camp out in it.  Wich is why a dwelling was always considered occupied.

So, am I legal to hunt withing 200 ft from the shed, though the sign say 500 ft? Is the sign bogus?

So they changed the wording but it means the same thing
