Hit 3 different post offices and no duck stamps

I just got one in Andover. Also long valley usually has them.

That's why I look for them in July when they first become available. I usually have to call a couple POs to find them, but usually I can get them that first week and I don't have to worry about it when the time comes.

You could order them online from the USPS website, and get it in a week or so, but even that isn't a guarantee. I tried that a few years ago, and instead of getting a duck stamp in the mail, they sent me a page of some collectors stamps I never heard of ... what a mess that was. How can you screw that up? I dunno, but the post office managed it. I had to send them back for a refund and crossed my fingers they would send me the correct thing. Took a few weeks for that to sort itself out. Now I would rather track them down at a local post office then risk ordering them online. Typical government agency.

I started buying them online a couple years ago, I got tired of going from one PO to the next to find out they didnt have them... They usually get delivered in a couple of days..

Not sure what town you are in but next year pre season you can talk to the head/manager and have them order them for you. Many have stopped carrying them because of low demand but if you say you along with others will be in yearly to buy they may start stocking them.

I called some online number once to find out which PO’s had them in stock. The guy on the phone told me every PO gets issued at least some 😂😂

It gets harder and harder every year.  The Ironia PO in Chester/Randolph was only allocated 9 stamps.

I buy online at PA and you can use it immediately.

How do I get a duck stamp in PA?

 

The customer makes the purchase through HuntFishPA. A temporary, electronic Federal Duck Stamp (eDuck) is printed immediately and is valid for 45 days from date of purchase. The actual Federal Duck Stamp will be mailed within 45 days to the individual's current address in HuntFishPA.

My rural Post Office in Asbury got five and I got the last one.  I usually have to go to a bigger Post Office (Washington) to get one.
