I posted on the other site and got very little help, mostly jerky responses. I was recommended here to find some answers...

I have a shed with an enclosed lean too off the rear and inside there is piles and piles of some kind of animal scat. I have a trail cam set up and will check it in a few days just looking for an answer in the mean time. I have heard anything from fox, coyote, raccoon, or house cat...any thoughts ??

Thank you in advance

I think cats.  Too uniform in consistency for raccoon, I think.  Let us know what you find with the trail cam.  I once had an opossum get trapped in my garage and he crapped a ton and walked in it.  What a mess!  He had his claw marks all over the window after walking in his own scat.  I finally found him curled up asleep in a bag of peat moss.

That's very odd. Very few animals will go in the same place every time. Cats, maybe, but that's pretty it for cats. But then again, it's tough to know the actual size without anything to calibrate it.

Sapere aude.

Audeamus.

When you cannot measure, your knowledge is meager and unsatisfactory.

Thank you, so refreshing not to be trolled. Yea I should have put something next to it for scale it's pretty big though almost size of medium sized dog crap. And this pile is just one of about 3 if I get anything on the cam I will post

It's a possibility but I would think I would see them at some point during the day or evidence around the shed. I also see no easy access in for a dog or cat

I would think if it was a coon you would see some nuts or berrys and some of the scat would look loke blobs not all uniform.

Thanks again Rusty, that place got me mad but I had a good response to one poster that got a laugh so now I'm over it and will be following this forum from now on

What throws me is the size of it though seems too big for a opossum, but then again my 14 lb dog can fire some large ones out too

I saw your post on NJH and felt bad how it derailed from the first post.  That site is a joke anymore.  There are still some good people there, but fewer and fewer.
