I’m taking a pal out for his first archery hunt this afternoon and if he is successful he wants to butcher it himself but would like to age the deer for some time prior to butchering it.

you could ask on of the local butchers if you can hang for some time . expect some sort of charge. V. Roche Butcher and Bishops market in whitehouse nj are close to clinton.

Unlikely any butcher will allow you to do that. Most, if any, will not do it even if you have them butcher it

That’s what i recommended but he wants it whole and aged….I think he was guna do some type of butchering class or something with his family

Was out with the boy yesterday!!  Had a good round supporting a local Emeralds Society!!  Kid got a nice swing!!
