I have spotted more B&C tree stumps than I care to admit.

Haha that's great. I've sat like a statue for 30 min thinking I was busted and being stared down by a monster buck

I can neither confirm nor deny the possibility that there may have been a stalk or 2 on old dead tree stumps over the years.

Before sunset, I try to memorize where all the stumps are. I have seen way too many wooden wild boars.

 

I used to see discarded rubber tires on the side of the road. Nowadays all I see is dead black boars that have been hit by vehicles.

 

It appears you see whatever it is you are hunting for.

 

Can you imagine what we would see if we went out hunting for UFOs?

I know a guy that used to hunt to close to houses that stalked up on some guys Glendale buck he had put out in the woods for target practice.

Haha! Been there, its such a let down when you realize its just branches.

Yep...has happened to me.

 

Also happens late afternoon on all day sits when nothing's moving....sun movement and "deer shadows"

No I can say I have never done that, but I did spend close to an hour stalking a dead high rack 8 pointer for a better shot. The only thing sticking out of the cedar blow down were the antlers.
