Tremendous response so far thanks to NJ W & W we have 614 responders in the first 24 hours!

Over 31 pages of remarks so far, we will allow everyone to view the remarks at some point and see if we can get some compromise.

I think 3 weeks is enough time for the survey, do you agree? Our goal is to get a good representative sample, so please tell all your sportsmen friends to participate.

The results will be published on a wide variety of media after the poll closes!

Nice!  Great to see that level of response!

Regarding the survey duration...really depends on how much you think presenting the time period would play a factor.

Does "1 month" sound better than "3 weeks" when it comes to justifying the claims to support change being extracted from the survey results?

I do think 3 weeks is a good length of time, especially with the responses so far and the fact that we're using social media and email distributions to get it broadcast quickly.

Just don't want anyone (whether the state or some other faction) to "downplay" the significance of the information gathering due to the time period.

I guess it boils down to the final number of submissions as well versus the estimated total number of hunters, that will probably be the biggest factor to the state.

The problem I see with that survey is it doesn't capture respondents info so a person could reply to the survey as many times as they wish.  Anyone opposed to the results would argue that people intentionally inflated responses by repeatedly submitting the same answers.

Actually no...we have security in place to ensure users only take the survey once from their machine. Are there ways around it ...yes but then again there is always a way to beat security...just ask Target customers who had their credit card info leaked :)
