POACHER CAUGHT !!!!!!

Recommended Posts

Since I can't hunt I've been kept informed by many on their hunts. All week Palawman30 and I have been texting back and forth. This morning was no different. Joe hunts the same zone as I. This morning was no different accept Joe asked me if antlerless deer are allowed to be taken, I replied with a quick "NO !!!!!" A Pennsylvania hunter killed two yearlings, I scrambled to search for the number for the northern region office, and quickly texted it to Joe. He waited for their arrival, Joe got pictures of the guys license /tag and his truck, they confiscated both deer as far as a fine I have no idea. Joe also had they guy gut both deer so they wouldn't spoil, hopefully they goto a needy family. BRAVO JOE, great job !!!

The Pennsylvania scumbags come over here and shoot every deer they see,They alone have ruined some good state lands in zone 5 and 7

Your 110% correct, big time in zone 4, hunters from NY, PA and other states

I've witnessed that firsthand. The army of trucks with PA plates rolling up to that WMAs in those zones and huge crews of guys jumping out and getting dropped off along the road. They beat some of those WMAs down once or sometimes twice in the same day

ive often thought about discovering a poaching in progress and what i would do....sounds like Joe confronted the poacher and actually took a pic of his license? Im never sure if confronting or just calling and observing as much as possible is the way to go.

Did they not have a permit shotgun tag? In my zone if you have a permit shotgun tag, you can shoot does during 6-day firearm.

ahhh, just looking in the compendium and I see that zone 4 does not have permit shotgun for does during 6-day.

I've witnessed it numerous times, but last years last day of 6 day was the worst. I was hunting beaverbrook in Z5,they pounded the place all day long,by the end of the day they had 14 doe,2 button bucks and a 4 pointer. I left there so pissed off.

I think they are talking about zone 4, which in Reg Set 2.  No permit ML during 6-day either.

I know a gang that comes down from Vt with bow, late October... 5 guys took 5 bucks and 8 doe in a week, on the Jersey side of Dingman's area.  They call it their "freezer filler tour" every year.    That's exactly how they put venison in their Vermont freezers..   Maybe we should charge with Illinois charges for non-resident, or have a point system like a lot of other states do?

Nothing spooks deer more than my stank…

What does an Illinois NR run.
