Deer preferring corn over acorns?

I've noticed the deer in my yard seem more interested in the corn I put out than the acorns remaining in the yard. Why would that be? Acorns old?

colder weather perhaps, looking for a quick carb burst?

It's been pretty warm for November and December so far. Not sure that's it.

Probably more acorns around this year than they can eat!!!, and they may just want somthing else instead of the same old same old.

1.  The white oak acorns are gone leaving the reds which are more acidic.

 

2.  Deer eat a variety of foods as they eat, so they are most likely feeding on corn and acorns.  I have several deer that come to corn every afternoon like clock work.  They feed on corn for 5 minutes or so, then they go to a black oak and eat some acorns, then they go feed on greens in the lawn.

Put corn out in the woods spread it out like feeding chickens and add molasses on old logs and side of trees you'll have every deer there when your hunting it works I hammer them like that and killed bucks like that too
