Many years ago I finished a 1-gallon jug of Motts apple juice.  It was a well built plastic jug, pretty sturdy.  So I rinsed it out and decided to throw my silver change into it.  I've emptied it at least three times over the years and it's been like hitting the lottery.  Paid for my AR-556 with change.  Best cash-in was $589.08.

Anyone else have a change jar?

It does add up.  Takes time, but it's worth the wait.  I figure I socked away about $1 a day for two years.  Not a ton of cash per day that I'd miss, but it was nice to get a check for nearly $600 for just a pile of change.

I have a big glass bottle also. Most change I ever cashed in was about 550$. I now put dollars in with my change. I wanna use my next cash out towards some kind of hunting trip.

i keep a change jar as well. once a year i cash it in and then go buy .999 pure silver bars. this year was my first time buying a gram of .999 pure gold along with other silver. it really does add up, i i roughly have about $1000 in precious metals.
