It would be cool to own a surplus Army 1911.  But the hassles to get one here in NJ are major.  Still good to see authorization for the government to sell them.  I have a buddy who shoots Garands and other military weapons competitively who also teaches and he's always trying to get me to his Long Island gun club to take the Garand class and buy one of those at surplus.

Just have to get pistol permit. No biggie in NJ
