Anyone have any experience with these?

Just happened to come across it, and the pricepoint is quite good for a no frills AR.

I don't own one yet, thought this one might be a good place to start!

They sell for around $600

Better buy now. Active shooters in Ca are not going to help matters.

I spent most of my money on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.

Yep.no one can give any other description then they saw big assault rifles.the news is making sure assault rifle is said as much as possible.Obama is already flipping the script and saying that if there us a gun related terrorist attack it will be because of our gun laws.unbelievable.

What caliber are you interested in getting? I was considering the AR platform for my varmint gun in 5.56, but reconsidered because I might be able to get the same caliber in a different form factor for less. And also because you never know how stupid the laws may become with the collection of morons in Trenton.

Gun comes with a 30-round magazine, which is not NJ friendly.  When buying from Gunbroker, do I need to ask the seller to remove the magazine from the box, or does my FFL do that before releasing it to me?

Update:  After using the powers of Google I think I've determined that the non-compliant magazine can be shipped to NJ as long as the FFL in NJ receiving it can pin it at 15 rounds to make it compliant with the law.

There are two models:  8500 and 8502.  The 8502 is the NJ-compliant one with a fixed stock and 10 rd. magazine.

I am doing everything in my power to not buy one from Gunbroker.  We need to ban firearm posts because my wife is going to give me an earful for quite some time....
