Just got settled in for the afternoon hunt in zone 35. Hoping to get the first one with my crossbow. Hopefully the coming storm tonight will get them up and moving.

Well nothing tonight and I'm beginning to think my crossbow is cursed. Haha I bought it last year just to hunt with something different. Haven't been able to harvest a deer with it since I bought it! Maybe I should dust off the compound! Haha

You and I are in the same boat.  Got one at the end of last year thinking this year was going to be deer genocide.  Instead I've started naming all the squirrels eating my deer corn.

Yea that's pretty much what I've been doing too. Always seems like every squirrel in the woods is running around my stand. I did have a 3 pointer walk all around in front of me earlier in th season but even if I wanted to shoot him I couldn't because my zone has antler restrictions. It's almost like they know you can't shoot them. Haha he hung out by my stand for almost a half hour.

Believe me I'm trying! Haha hopefully I can shake it off this season. At least I've gotten deer in Delaware including 2 with a handgun so it's not like I'm not getting any deer at all.

I too am in a QDM zone (Zone 3), and always see spikes parading around.  Even with QDM, best deer I have on camera is a 7-pointer, maybe 8.  And they're always around in September, and I think they move to either zone 2 or 6 when the season starts.
