I'm looking at state tax maps tonight scoping out a creek for trapping.

And I keep seeing properties labeled null

What the heck is null!!

 

How do I find out if I can use this land

It's an inconsistency with their records on that mapping tool. Sometimes you can find a match on block and lot in the Monmouth county tax record search (has all counties). If not you have to go to the county tax office to get the info.

Null also means that an adjacent lot is the same owner. I technically own two lots and one on the tax map is identified as null.

99% of the nulls are private owners . I have yet to find township or state property as null

I've seen county owned land as null.

With the Monmouth county tax record search. Was in there but comes up null on the tax map app.

You can get a limited search with SIS without signing up. Bottom left of the main page

I have permission to hunt that land. I got the OK from the 2 farmers that own that piece, Null and Void.

Labeled as part of another area nearby.
