Deer back strap and fried mash potatos

Looks great! :up:  I discovered something this past week ago that is absolutely unreal. I am sure many have used it but it was a first for me.


I was sautéing onions and potatoes with garlic and olive oil. A friend gave a bottle of "blackstrap molasses" in a gift basket to us. I had no idea what it was used for so I looked it up.


One of the first recipes that included molasses I looked up was for fried onions and potatoes. :lookaround:  I used a little of the molasses in the pan, and it "caramelized" everything.  My kids loved it and I am going to utilize it more often with venison and onions, now that I am familiar with it.
