6/10 at 10AM Will be the start of the 100th 24 Hours of Le Mans race in France. Nascar was invited to attend this years twice around the clock event in the designated Garage 56 class. It's an innovation program that runs it's own race and unable to compete for a win. Nascar in cooperation with Hendrick Motorsports build the car and will carry  the iconic number 24. The drivers lined up are Mike Rockenfeller (2010 24 Hours winner), Jenson Button (2009 F1 world champion) and Jimmie Johnson (seven-time NASCAR champion). Rick Hendrick has been quoted saying they aren't showing up to just show up, they're showing up to race.

750-horsepower, 5.8-liter V-8, 5 speed Paddle shift.

After today's practice Hendrick Motorsports will be near or better on laps times to the GTE AM class.

The fastest car in GTE AM was a Ferrari 488 with a time of 3:56:088.

The Chevy Camaro ZL1 cup car time was 3:53:761.

Hendrick might be owning an entire class this weekend.
