Chicken Little Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 120 lb on the hoof 100 lb dressed Liver shot through and through Net=45 lbs of meat 20 packages of burger...about a lb each Loins and steaks Good? Bad? Average?
smoking gun Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 120 on hoof would be about 90 to 95 dressed
GhostBear Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 That's average for a deer that size, you lose 15% of weight in guts, another 10-15% for hide and bones, plus a few % for fat and loss, so that seems about right for a deer dressing about a hundred pounds. Hunt with a Vizsla, cause life's to short to hunt with an ugly dog! RIP Tilly monster. (Attila) 2004-2017.

Processor has usually done a good job and it seemed like a fair amount, just always been curious as to what I should yield.
not on the rug Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 Roughly 45% of dressed weight is meat, give or take up to 5% depending on the deer Chicken Little 1
