For stand hunting, the warmest stuff I've found and really like is the Day One Camo:  https://dayonecamouflage.com/

The parka is honestly second to none in terms of warmth and quietness.

The bibs also.

If you are walking more than 200 yds, I'd pack this stuff in and put it on when you get there because you'll be sweating your butt off.

I have it in fleece with Wind Stopper and it's cozy for sure!

Plus it's custom fit/cut for you!

I've really been leaning towards getting one of this IWOM suits -- actually I need 2 sets -- one for me and one for my boy

The only thing stopping me is the price -- $350 each

I can't find a bad review of them anywhere and the good reviews are nothing but praise and "how did I survive without" type stuff

not sure I can answer your question, you been slumming and posted the same thing on the other site

I know ...

I thought there might be one or two intelligent people left over there to give me a decent suggestion. I actually got a few decent responses from the drama crowd

I buy this silk stuff from Campmor:

That's the first layer that I put on.  Stuff is fabulous, thin and light.  I put the gloves on and then put my fingerless gloves on over them.  I've never had to fold the mitten hood over to keep my fingers warm, even in 0F weather.

Regular long underwear is my next layer, jeans and heavy button-down shirt the next.  Maybe a sweatshirt after that, definitely the Woolrich heavy wool shirt though.  Then I put my Carhart bib on and my heavy Cabelas camo jacket on after that.  I have sat all day in -20F weather with that gear on.

The silk part is the secret.  I use three natural materials--silk, cotton, and wool.  Together they keep my warm and dry in almost any kind of weather.  But IMHO the silk makes the biggest difference.  Really holds the heat close to your body and keeps the moisture off.  Plus it's comfortable as heck.  Strongly recommend it!

Campmor is online as well as having a retail store on Rt 17N, just north of Paramus.  I cannot go in there without spending money.  One of the best outdoors stores in the area, but they don't sell hunting stuff.  No matter, it's all outdoor gear and the people who work there actually use the products.

Sapere aude.

Audeamus.

When you cannot measure, your knowledge is meager and unsatisfactory.

I decided to go with the Day One fleece in ASAT camo.  Parka that is lined with windstop and insulated, bibs that are lined with windstop, and a hat that is lined with windstop and insulated.  I'm imagining that setup should do the trick.  Thanks for the suggestions guys

You won't be disappointed with the Day One. If you have a long walk in, pack your parka and bibs.. This stuff is warm, it's like wearing a heavy quilted blanket that fits properly.. The thigh pockets in the bibs are great as it allows your hands access to one of the warmest parts of  your body as you sit on stand and the stand up collar on the parka is awesome and keeps cold air off your neck so you don't have to wear a hood. GREAT STUFF
