Dug this up this morning.

It looks like it's some type of leg hold ?

Dog and a spring.

There was also a metal box with it that has a 1&1/2" round hole in it.

I tried googling images and can't find anything like it.

What do think?

Key things to think about regarding old bottles:

Look for a manufacture's stamp on the bottom. Certain manufacturers are sought after because of the craftsmanship and the kind of glass they made. Even if the shape is unique, you'll only get a couple of bucks for the glass if it doesn't have a manufacturers stamp on the bottom. Some bottles are very common, like the ribbed 1/2 gallon wine bottles. They're usually clear and were used in abundance in the early 1900s.

My neighbors house was destroyed by Sandy and we found a bunch of this stuff burried in the yard when they were filling the foundation. My wife also had a tiny glass bottle that I replaced when my daughter broke it. So I learned a little about this stuff. I'm by no means an expert.

I hope hind something that you like, and hopefully something that someone is willing to pay a lot for.

Sapere aude.

Audeamus.

When you cannot measure, your knowledge is meager and unsatisfactory.
