Tree fell on a ladder stand

Not mine, came across this pic from South NJ.  Pretty crazy, glad no one was in hit whenever that tree came down!

Same thing happened on some state land along the Musky one year.  But it happened well away from deer season and we removed the mangled mess and tossed it out.

In 2021, both my stand and my brothers were destroyed by falling trees.  He hunted the stand in the first few weeks of September, but decided to let it cool off for a bit.  Later in October when he walked into his stand in the dark he found a mess. A neighboring tree broke off and took out the top of his tree and smashed his stand.  He shot a lot of deer out of that stand in that tree.  Similar thing happened to me earlier that season.  I walked in on an afternoon hunt to find that a huge branch from a neighboring tree broke off and took out the top half of my tree.  Only noticeable damage to my stand was a slice down the middle of my seat, but I didn't trust it after that and took it down.  I shot my biggest buck out of that tree and stand.
