Trout season begins in New Jersey tomorrow morning, April 8 at 8 a.m.!

From April 8 at 8:00 a.m. to May 31, the minimum legal catch size is 9 inches, with a daily limit of six trout in most trout waters. Beginning June 1, 2023, the daily limit will drop to 4 trout.
