Awesome photo! While double-crested cormorants have really expanded their range, at least it's a native species eating a non-native species.  It did give you a great photo opportunity.

The pond by me will be cleaned out before opening day. Used to take the kids there and see barely anyone catching fish. The week before there would be 15 cormorants working the lake eating trout like crazy. Worthless creatures.

Stocked mutant rainbows from Pequest are just like Doritos, they will just make more.  If we are going to stock non native trout into non trout waters, it only invites predation by our other native species like the cormorants.
