So, for $125 you can get one, but only if they get "orders" totaling $47,500 in the next 29 days.  I wonder how it holds up to bears?

I'm curious to see how it goes for their kickstarter. There used to be a company that made stump feeders, but I believe they went out of business and there was a lot of criticism on the durability of the feeder itself. Supposedly these guys addressed those issues with this design. The one thing I think they'll need is some way to lock it to a tree, whether due to bears or theft.

Thats how i understand it..  You can order it but you may never get it.. The Vender apparently doesnt have the money to start up his business.. Risky... But anyway, IMO i dont find the product impressive in the least bit..  Wouldnt pay more than $20 for it If i bought it at all..Which i doubt i would...

They were popular a while back, but when unlimited food is available 24/7 deer become nocturnal if there is any hunting pressure.

Also, up here the bears knock them over and empty them immediately and the squirrels chew up the holes at the bottom.

That would not hold up 5 minutes to a bear. My dad had a bear snap a pressure treated 4 x 4 off flush at the ground to eat a bird feeder. Don't think that plastic is going to last long.

A few years ago I used a Nocturnal Nightmare Feeder.  You could program it to open and close at specific times and get the deer conditioned to coming in only when it was open.  They would actually stand around for 10 minutes before it was scheduled to open waiting for it.  I even have a picture of a buck with his head in it eating the corn, but the major problem was that it needed to be hooked up to an outside battery and the squirrels kept chewing the wires.

You can reset the setting on those to close the drawer really fast and it closes on the deer's head and holds the deer there for you.
