BowhunterNJ Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 Those who are having trouble with sideways pictures, can you check two things and reply here with the answers. 1) What model phone do you have? 2) When you view the image on your phone's gallery, does it appear sideways as well? If the answer to #2 is YES, then you can/should rotate the image in your phone's gallery before uploading. If the answer to #2 is NO, then there may be a setting in your phone to allow for rotation/orientation as you turn your device. 0 Rusty Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 Many of my pictures turn sideways from my computer. They are upright on my computer but they post sideways on here.
0 BowhunterNJ Posted October 31, 2015 Author Posted October 31, 2015 Rusty, just to confirm, can you select an image in your Windows Explorer, right click and select Preview. Let me know if that comes up correct or sideways there.
0 BowhunterNJ Posted October 31, 2015 Author Posted October 31, 2015 It's what you use to browse files on your Windows OS computer. Assuming you have Windows of course Quick shortcut to get there is to hold down the WINDOWS KEY (between Fn and Alt on your keyboard) and hit the letter E (for Explorer). It will open it up. Then browse to that picture, right click and select Preview
0 Rusty Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 Ok that's even more dumb. I give up, computers are dumb.
0 BowhunterNJ Posted October 31, 2015 Author Posted October 31, 2015 What's wrong? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
0 Rusty Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 (edited) When I preview the pictures they are upright. When I post them some turn sideways and some don't. When I rotate them sideways they stay sideways. Edited October 31, 2015 by Rusty

0 Ms Grit Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 Today was the first time I got a sideways picture. I have an I5? and the picture was correctly displayed on my phone. 0 Chicken Little Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 LG3 and mine were fine even when i previewed the post...1 sideways and 1 ok on final post
0 BowhunterNJ Posted October 31, 2015 Author Posted October 31, 2015 Thanks guys, I opened a ticket with the forum software company, I'll see what they say. Are the ones that are sideways for you guys taken in "portrait" (i.e. vertically held phone) or "landscape" (i.e. horizontally held phone)? Is there any consistency to which ones are sideways or does it vary?
0 Matty Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 Great news. We found the solution: “I have always tempered my killing with respect for the game pursued. I see the animal not only as a target, but as a living creature with more freedom than I will ever have. I take that life if I can, with regret as well as joy, and with the sure knowledge that nature’s way of fang and claw and starvation are a far crueler fate than I bestow.” – Fred Bear
