We will be at the Flatbrook enjoying the only stocking without the orange army.

This is such a great day.  I used to work it back when I was doing hunter ed. and my kids were still "youth hunters".

Well,

 

It was my first time being a handler for the kids. I have to say this was a well organized event!

 

41 handlers and 26 kids... need more kids next year!

 

Everyone had a smile and I was asked a lot of questions. Everything from firearms, dogs, deer hunting, etc..

 

The three kids I was teamed up and the experienced handler Fred, just very nice. Fred and Chase, I don't know if you are on the forums, but it was nice doing this. It was different from what I have done in the past so I was a little uneasy.

 

I know what I did wrong and I know what I did right. The kids, next year I would like things just a little different. I learned how hard it is to guide. So to all those who guide for preserves, thank you!!!! I understand some of what you may face.

 

I look forward to doing this again next year. I certainly will volunteer and I hope others do as well.

 

Federation, South Orange Sportsman club, NJDFG just awesome day! Wish they had this when I was a kid! Lunch donated by South Orange Club and Federation. Organized by NJFG just can't say enough good things! So many people volunteering to put hunters on the ground and smiles on their faces.
