Hunted some heavily hunted public land for a few years and was lucky to see one or 2 a year. No I'm on a small property in Franklin township that's loaded.

And I bet you remember it like it was yesterday.  There's always something special about your first.  It's a huge stepping stone when a hunter achieves that goal.

Congrats! And as others have said, your first bow kill is something you'll always remember . Very special when it all comes together for the first time. I can tell you exact play by plays from that day 20 years ago . Many more to you .

Awesome! My first buck was a spike and I had him mounted. I have been blessed to have taken some great bucks but when people ask me the most special one, I show them the spike and tell them what a thrill it was to arrow him and how much he means to me. Never forget why we hunt and you sure did not man.
