Start with English Muffins, already toasted.  Add either spaghetti or pizza sauce, followed by grated Mozzarella Cheese, Cooked Bear Sausage, Chopped Roasted Red Peppers, Chopped Mushrooms and Locatelli Grated Cheese.  Sprinkle with Italian Seasoning and bake at 350 for 10-15 minutes.  Fairly quick and easy and you've got delicious mini pizzas.  Any of the ingredients can be replaced to your taste.

The bear sausage that 57 West makes is my favorite of all the different cuts/kinds of bear meat.  He adds just enough spice and fat to make it so that it's really REALLY good.

What does bear taste like? Gamey?Always wanted to shoot one never ate one.

Saw a giant one killed in pa and it smelled like the mystery juice in a garbage truck.

I don't really know how to explain it 10pt, but I actually like bear better than venison.  But it's been hard to come by. I eat my bear meat more rare than most would and get yelled at every time I post pictures, but I figure it's been frozen long enough that any potential bacteria or parasites are long gone. I always post up just before bear season that I will take any bear that anyone shoots if they don't want the meat from their harvest and I have been lucky the past few years to have had generous donations.  If I come by any bear meat this season, I would be more than happy to share some with you and also give you a few recipes.
