Beach Bass….

Went out at first light Sunday with a few friends. Took us until the end of the day to find them but found unbelievable blitz conditions for the last hour and half of light. I had trouble hooking up with the fly in the beginning while watching spin guys catch cast after cast. I went to a super slow strip/retrieve and that was it. Biggest fish came on a large sand eel pattern my buddy ties. He took me into my backing and went 13lbs. Fun day after missing out on a lot of this falls action.

Were you fishing Philadelphia Ave, Lavalette at end of day?  Almost positive I saw you & asked if you were catching with the fly rod.  If so, that would make at least 3 NJW&W members fishing there Sunday.

It was no issue. Everyone was respectful of each other casting, landing fish etc which was nice.
