Saw two sets of eyes walking in from the headlamp but nothing but a damp butt since I've got up in the tree.

Sitting...light rain, light wind, acorns falling like coconuts...fearing for my life...nothing moving

Drove past my spot this morning on my way home from work

And said screw it. spun the car around and hoped in the tree.

 

Light rain but nice out.

Don't expect much but felt like sitting.

Didn't get here till 7:30

On the way in to my stand yesterday I saw a cedar tree all ripped up, I've seen a few other trees like this in the past week, but have yet to see a buck during daylight hours only does. Every other time I sat in this stand I saw a small heard of does 4 to 7 depending on the day. Yesterday I didn't see a tail not even a squirrel. I was contemplating moving the stand when I heard a twig snap and saw a small buck walking right to me. He was walking real fast and seeing he was only a spike I let him walk. That was the first buck I've seen this year I just hope he isn't the one who made the rubs I saw. Going out to a different stand this afternoon where again I've only seen a few lone does. Good luck and be safe everyone.
