They don't finish the skinning process in this video. They just show the cuts. There needs to be a video that shows how you finish removing the skin to prepare to deliver it to a taxidermist.

Well, I bring this up because if you shoot a bear large enough where it is too hard to drag out whole, you can skin it in the field in order to quarter it and then haul out the quarters. These videos show how you can skin the bear in a way that you won't ruin it if you want a rug

Very informative video that shows precisely how it should be done. Hell, this guy doesn't even take off his watch or roll up his sleeves. If you really want that rug, it shows that you pay a professional to do this task. Think about the amount you think you are worth for what you do and then pay a professional what he is worth for that task.

I skinned out my bear for a rug myself, but I used to trap and understand where to make each cut including the “S cut” through the pads of the feet which isn’t likely necessary for a rug. If you’re not comfortable doing the skinning, save your money and have your taxidermist do it.
