We may get more members and the other place may turn into the "snoozer site"  The place is no longer fun or informative.  The better you and the crew Matt.  Glad there's still a place to go without the riggermarole.  Miss all those fishing trip with you guys and Tom, God rest his soul.  To all else have fun, good luck and stay safe.

I'll tell you what, I think of Tom a lot...really any time the "good ol' NJH" term comes up, he comes to mind every time!

We had a lot of fun, some truly memorable fishing and hiking trips with him, he was a great man!

Am I a crazy? They just took down a post from Mrs. Grit because she mentioned what gear she used. Apparently she wasn't a sponsor and didn't promote the companies that pay to advertise. She doesn't sell hunting gear and makes zero money on mentioning those brands, yet they pulled her post about a big 10 she just shot in Virginia. I think I'll be visiting here a little bit more.

Its long been heavy handed.. I got banned from the dark side because jakesbeard turned every ones post into a 'Its all about Axiom' thread, AND THEN BLAMED  >MEHIS actions.....I really didn't like all that attention but I seys to myself I seys, eh, i'll just roll with it, its kinda funny anyway..  Next thing ya know I was discarded like a gut pile... geeesh..

Grits had the products laid out like it was a ad. Pushing it yes but I would have left it up. The one I found extreme was the guy selling off his gun collection in the free classified area. Just a few quality guns a month. Not a dealer and was posting in the correct area. Mod wanted him to become a vendor member. Pure BS.

I don't know, I've seen similar approaches of restricting "naming" anything due to paying sponsors.  I think the members have to come first on a site, they are what makes it what it is.  I for one enjoy reading about the different products used, granted some posts can get "overdone" and be a little cheesy, but for the most part they are very informative.  The person used those things in their hunts, maybe it'll help someone else or maybe it will help the company (especially local NJ ones) out!  How can that be "wrong"?  I agree, that is BS, won't happen here.
