Striper beat down!

Went out Thursday for some striper action.  Started at 11A and worked towards back of the bay.  Tons of bunker, only picked up one but it was 44 inches.  Tried live lining jigging and trolling but they were just not chewing.  Trolled back east around Romers Shoal and picked up 2 more, a 47 and 50 incher.  I caught my personal best 3 consecutive fish lol!   At this point we were 9 hours in and getting weary. The winds were picking up it was getting choppy.  Tried jigging and trolling, figured we would troll over to Flynn’s knoll and call it a day.  And just like that one of those magical things happened.  Birds bunker and bass acres wide in the triangle and there were only a few boats around.  The next hour and a half was the most memorable striper fishing I’ve ever done.   Ever cast was a fish and every fish was 45-50 (probably bigger) We stopped measuring at this point because the situation got a little chaotic running and gunning.  By the time it was over there were 20+ boats chasing.  We figured we put 15-20 in the boat and nothing was even close to a 38 keeper.  Those 50’s are just a different class of fish and catching them on top water was the best.

Yea I hear ya.  I left out the part about the wackos because I hate complainers.  But since you brought it up.  Thx to the guy who some how ended up fighting a fish with his line over the top of our boat in between the outriggers. Don’t ask me how bc I don’t know.  And cheers to the guy in the scout who ran right through the middle of the school every time.  But enough of the negatives.  Didn’t ruin our time lol.

Yuppers I passed a guy on Sunday morning a solid 75 yards from his boat while doing 3.5 mph.

All the while he's yelling at me for running over his lines.
