Quick lunch run

wanted to catch some blue claws for lunch .

WOW,  great catching !!! I went last week end it was slow...only about 2 dozen in 4 hours.  I "thought" I was done for the year,  but may have to give it one more shot !!!  That meal looks amazing !!

Water was the cleanest I have ever seen it there .

could see the trap in over 6’ of water

Same here with the water clarity !!   My last 2 trips, before the big blow... I could see bottom in 6 feet....which was a problem with the scoop net from the kayak...I must have lost a dozen with the crabs getting off as soon as I put the net in the water....Plus,  there were schools of peanut bunker all over the river....but no snappers at all.
