potential Wharton Forest road closures - get on the call to get the scoop

They are anticipating creating a permit system for access to unimproved roads!! I think this means they might start allowing off-roaders/ATV/dirt biker access!! And this also means unless a road is heavily used, they could denote it as an "unimproved" road and thus require a permit to access it. So if you hunt some back roads in Wharton, you'll want to tell them which roads you use to access the hunting/fishing/trapping grounds.

I say **everyone** who hunts/fishes/traps Wharton needs to fill out the survey (the survey will be available starting tomorrow at 9am and will be open for 30 days). Hunters/anglers/trappers need to be heard here - otherwise, you could lose vehicle access (or you could be required to pay more money to NJ to get a permit for access).

The survey is somewhat involved - watch the recording to learn how to do it. If you are somewhat computer savy, it is easy. For you old people (and lord knows we have a lot of you on here :)) watch the recording of tonight's presentation. They tell you how to do it. If you are completely computer illiterate, you can fill out a paper form and mail it in, but they prefer online survey submissions.

The recording of tonight's presentation will be going up on YouTube soon - I think the link will be published here somewhere (when the recording becomes available): https://nj.gov/dep/parksandforests/wharton/ (this is probably where a link to the survey will go, too - tomorrow morning at 9am is should become available).

Unlike the Water Gap / National Park fiasco, this one directly affects me in several ways - I'll be watching this closely.

This affects I as well. Wood duck hunting and 50 percent of my deer club drives are in Wharton
