archer36
In my Compound Bow days, all I ever used was a thumb release. Tried all other and did not get the same control. I used Truball releases. Bone collector 85

Ron
I started out with a TruBall Max Hunter. It has a swivel and clamp jaws like a wrist release. I enjoyed shooting it, but not a predictable trigger. Eventually I moved on to a Carter Nock 2 It and a Wise Guy. Trigger is amazing on these releases. The are as predictable as a rifle trigger. Absolutely love the feel of the Carter. I have also shot many Stans releases over the years. Great trigger on the also. For me I preferred the feel of the Carter over the Stans. But Stan’s does make a nice one. Edited September 28, 2022 by Ron Buckeyes11, Bone collector 85 and NJDeerNBeer 3 I am the Lorax - I speak for the trees. Gobblengrunt
I have a Stan perfex I’m selling if you need. It’s an amazing release but if your looking to “fix” any panic issues or such from a index release, going to a thumb is not the answer. I’ve always shot Stan’s and carters, crispest triggers IMO Bone collector 85
flukebelly
I would take Gobbles Stan Perfex if you want to try the best. I have 3 myself. It has been replaced by the Onnex…not really the same .

The rave was like $135, and I love it. I wont go back to a trigger release.

BCsaw
Your finger guy and good at it stick with what works!Archery coaches have told me that a release should be learned and practiced for a month before use. I've used index, thumb and hinge releases. It is so apparent that your target archery game is important learning your anchor, release and shot process. Good luck!Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk

hammer4reel
Been shooting a thumb release since the late 80’s . go to are the Franks , or the Ragsdale . shoot the truball caliper if I shoot a DLoop . prefer not to shoot a DLoop Bone collector 85
