Velvet Deer Later than Normal

The skewered doe to buck ratio causes late ruts that have deer born later and later , I wonder if this is an effect…every year in heavy populated areas you see real young fawns vs normal fawns that had all summer to grow up..not sure if this effects this ..

I have a mature deer that is still in full velvet and a bunch of year and half year olds.  Sept 8th was the first mature deer out on camera, I don't remember in years past seeing any close to October in Velvet.  Seeing a lot more deer shot on Facebook in velvet than typical too.  I'm in Central Jersey.

Any thoughts that it may mean a little later rut or rough winter?
